Psalm 90:14, 17

Fill us at daybreak with Your goodness, that we may be glad all our days. May the sweetness of the Lord be upon us; may He prosper the work of our hands.

My Beloved, I come to You every morning and You fill me with the sweetness of Your Presence. I have the privilege to attend daily Mass. I first visit You in the Adoration chapel and speak with You face to face as Moses did. I celebrate the sacred mysteries of the Holy Mass and I receive You Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity and for a while You make me one with You. I become a living tabernacle. Can anything be better than this on earth which for a while becomes heaven!

Mark 10:29-30

Jesus said, ‘Truly I tell you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields, for my sake and for the sake of the good news, who will not receive a hundredfold now in this age—houses, brothers and sisters, mothers and children, and fields, with persecutions—and in the age to come eternal life.

Beloved, You make wonderful promises to those who are willing to give up present comfort for Your sake. Give me a generous, loving heart.

Malachi 3:32, Psalm 1:6, Luke 11:5-8

The sun of justice will shine upon you who respect His Name and bring health in its rays.

And he said to them, "Suppose one of you has a friend to whom he goes at midnight and says, 'Friend, lend me three loaves of bread, for a friend of mine has arrived at my house from a journey and I have nothing to offer him,' and he says in reply from within, 'Do not bother me; the door has already been locked and my children and I are already in bed. I cannot get up to give you anything.' I tell you, if he does not get up to give him the loaves because of their friendship, he will get up to give him whatever he needs because of his persistence.

I asked Lord and I received, I cried out to You as persistently and as loudly as the man who went to his friend's house in the middle of the night to ask for bread. I wept and wailed as I know many did with me that night and You, my Beloved Friend, unlocked the door and gave me all I desired - You restored our Sandy to us. Praise You Lord now and forever.

Thank You my Jesus for teaching us to prayer the Lord's Prayer. Each time I pray it I know that You stand behind me with Your hands on my shoulders as our gaze is directed to the Father and the Father is pleased.

I call on You in the time of my trouble and You answer me.

Thank You for the easy access I have to You my God. I call and You answer.

Jonah 3:1-10, Luke 10:38-42

The word of the LORD came to Jonah a second time: "Set out for the great city of Nineveh, and announce to it the message that I will tell you." So Jonah made ready and went to Nineveh, according to the LORD'S bidding. Now Nineveh was an enormously large city; it took three days to go through it. Jonah began his journey through the city, and had gone but a single day's walk announcing, "Forty days more and Nineveh shall be destroyed," when the people of Nineveh believed God; they proclaimed a fast and all of them, great and small, put on sackcloth. When the news reached the king of Nineveh, he rose from his throne, laid aside his robe, covered himself with sackcloth, and sat in the ashes. Then he had this proclaimed throughout Nineveh, by decree of the king and his nobles: "Neither man nor beast, neither cattle nor sheep, shall taste anything; they shall not eat, nor shall they drink water. Man and beast shall be covered with sackcloth and call loudly to God; every man shall turn from his evil way and from the violence he has in hand. Who knows, God may relent and forgive, and withhold his blazing wrath, so that we shall not perish." When God saw by their actions how they turned from their evil way, he repented of the evil that he had threatened to do to them; he did not carry it out.

Beloved, the mission of Jonah is my mission as well and my response to Your Word must be like that of the people of Nineveh.

Luke 10:38-42

As they continued their journey he entered a village where a woman whose name was Martha welcomed him. She had a sister named Mary (who) sat beside the Lord at his feet listening to him speak. Martha, burdened with much serving, came to him and said, "Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me by myself to do the serving? Tell her to help me." The Lord said to her in reply, "Martha, Martha, you are anxious and worried about many things. There is need of only one thing. Mary has chosen the better part and it will not be taken from her."

My Beloved, Martha opened the door of her home and welcomed you in but Mary opened the door of her heart. It was she who responded to the Word. She listened to it, embraced it and she was faithful in living it. She remained close to You - the Living Word. May I welcome You like Martha and may I cling to You like Mary. Mary knew how to love. She knew how to receive it and how to respond to it. She returned love for love.

My Beloved, You have been so generous with me and my family. I am grateful and I know that I have to make a return even if it is small. I must be a good neighbour like the good samaritan in today's Gospel. Help me Lord to fulfill my obligations as a member of Your Body and as part of the family of God.

Hebrews 2:10

He thought it fitting to make perfect through suffering the initiator of their salvation.

Beloved, I am reminded that it is through sufering that the Father perfected You in Your humanity in order that we may all become children of the Father. Help me to remember when trials and sorrow come my way that I too am being perfected through suffering in order that I amy become more like you my Elder Brother.

Mark 19:14 & 16

"Let the children come to me and don't stop them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these."

He took the children in His arms and laying His hands on them, blessed them.

My Beloved, it does not matter that the years are creeping on me and my hair is getting grey. My heart must still be the heart of a child. Trusting, loving, confident that my Father will always care for me. My hand always in His, ready and willing to go where ever He leads me without question.

Help me to make myself small so I can lie in Your arms in quiet contentment and peace. Lay Your hands on me and mine my Beloved and bless us.

Psalm 69:33-34

You who seek God, may your hearts be revived. For the Lord hears the needy and does not despise those in captivity.

Beloved, You notice when we are sad. You are aware when anything bothers us. You are always at hand to help, heal and comfort and the Queen, our mama Mary is always beside You to intercede for us. You always give us all that we require to lead godly, happy lives.

Like the psalmist, may I never cease to praise You, my God in all the circumstances of my life.

A disciple must be ready to sacrifice everything for the sake of the Gospel.

My Beloved, when we give ourselves to You it must be a complete giving with no turning back. I remember You speaking this verse to me in the early days of my conversion. May my 'Yes' be like Yours always. A self-sacrificial yes.

"Put your hands in Mine. Let me draw you to Me and fill you with my Holy Spirit. Permit My Spirit to fill you, cleanse you and animate you. Let My Spirit fill you with joy and peace. You are Mine my precious - I love you. Be still and drink deep of My Presence. Be filled with My light and My life. Be drawn into the heart of God. My heart and remain there. I love you."

He will answer the prayer of the needy and will not despise their plea.

...listen: the one who is found to be the least among you all, is the one who is the greatest.

Beloved it is hard to be humble and little sometimes. It helps wonderfuly to know that You who are God allowed Yourself to be made small for our sakes. Thank You for your wonderful promise in Zec 8:8

And thank You for your timely reminder in Luke 9:48 that it is only in giving myself will I find myself.

My Beloved, today the Church celebrates the feast of the Apostle Matthew. In today's reading in Ephesians 4:11-13 we are reminded that each one of us has been given gifts and is called to work for the Kingdom.

The Psalmist says, No speech no word, no sound is heard yet the message goes out to the ends of the earth. May my life be a strong witness to the faith that I profess.

To know You Beloved, to trust You to believe in Your words, to obey Your commandments. To walk in the light of the truth that You have revealed. To be submissive and humble - willing and ready to serve. To know oneself and that all that we are is because of Your graciousness and goodness. To attribute all that is good in us to grace that You so willingly pour upon us and to acknowledge that when we fail and fall it is not because You were not willing to help us but because we are weak and we did not cling to You in our moments of weakness - this is peace and joy.

Beloved, help me to be an authentic Christian, Your true follower and a fruitful member of the Curch that You founded with Peter as the Rock, the visible head. If I live the life of a true disciple then I will be an effective witness to the truth. Pour out Your Holy Spirit O Lord to help all of us who wish to follow You who are the Way, the Truth and the Life. Amen.

The Lord will guard us as a shepherd guards his flock.

"Listen and remember what I tell you now. The Son of Man will be delivered into human hands." But the disciples didn't understand this saying; something prevented them from grasping what He meant, and they were afraid to ask Him about it.

Beloved, I claim all these promises for myself and my family. Make Your dwelling not only in our hearts and in our home, but at the centre of our family life.

Beloved, when You say listen and remember then I must be all attention and ready and willing to do what You say. Often, although I am ready and willing - I am hard of understanding even though what You say is pretty clear. Fear grips my heart. I do not want to understand because it is a hard and painful thing. I may have to give up some creature comfort. Something that is a hindrance to a closer union with You and I am not willing to ask You what You mean because I am afraid You will tell me precisely that which I am afraid to hear. But through experience I know Beloved that whatever I give up You bless me greatly with something even better - thank You.

My Beloved, thank You for the time spent with my children. Thank You for bringing me back safely. Thank You for Your assurances to me today. You ask me not to be discouraged but to work with confidence and You promise to be with me. You ask me to be unafraid for Your own Spirit dwells in our midst, in our family, in our home and You give us Your peace.

I shall not be afraid, downcast or discouraged for You my Savior are with me.

Beloved, any spiritual institution that does not have You as its foundations, center and head is doomed to implode in on itself. May You be the centre, foundation and head of my life and the life of our family.

The good soil, instead, are people who receive the word and keep it in a gentle and generous mind, and persevering patiently, they bear fruit.

My Beloved, I so long to be the good soil that receives You the Eternal Word of God that finds a place in me, sends down deep roots and bears fruit for the glory of God. Hear my prayers for Mel, me and our children that we may grow into Your image and likeness. You have said, all we ask of the Father in Your Name He will grant us. My Beloved, there is nothing in this beautiful world that You created or that man has invented that can satisfy. Only You O Lord can bring with Yourself deep abiding peace, contentment and joy. Stay always with me. I too have been forgiven much like the women in today's Gospel. May I love You like them - follow You always and be ready to give You all as generously as they did.

The Church of the living God, which is the pillar and foundation of truth.

The Church is a place made up of sinners in need of a Savior. It is in this Church, we find Christ the Head who has left the apostles and their successors as its pillar and foundation. It is He who will preserve His Church from evil and error.

Next came the Son of Man, eating and drinking, and you say, "Look, a glutton for food and wine, a friend of tax collectors and sinners." But the children of Wisdom always recognise her work.

How glad I am that You are a friend of tax collectors and sinners because I will always find a place at Your table.

My Beloved these last few days You have been teaching me about true love. I have not really understood how You see me and love me. I am Your child - a child with weaknesses and failings and You know all of them. You watch as I struggle and Your heart is moved with love and compassion for me. You are ready to help me should I need it. You watch over me all the time. Often You let me struggle alone because You know that it makes me stronger and more confident when through grace, I overcome difficulties. But Your arms are wide open ready to lift me and help me should I need it.

Psalm 111:5 Always mindful of His covenant, He provides food for those who fear Him.

The unsearchable riches and treasures of God is His infinite capacity to love me, to fill me, pressed down, shaken and running over with His indescribable love. My Beloved, all I need to do is glory in that love and respond to it.

Luke 2:34-35

Luke 2:34-35

See Him, He will be for the rise or fall of the multitudes of Israel. He shall stand as a sign of contradiction, while a sword will pierce your own soul. Then the secret thougths of many may be brought to light.

My Beloved, I still have not understood what true love is all about. I know it intellectually I do not know it as a way of life. I do not know it experientially.

You say to me, "Look at Me to understand. On the cross my arms are wide open, I am naked and vulnerable. Every inch of my body is flayed. Large thorns pierce my head and nails hold my hands and feet fast to the cross.

Know this, no matter how large the nails or how many - they could not have held Me had I not allowed it. Love and only love held me nailed to the cross. Love, true love does not count the cost and it is not focused on itself but on the one who who is loved. Look at the cross and learn from Me. As long as you focus on yourself and your feelings and emotions, you will never know the joy of loving without barriers - a total sacrifice and surrender of self.

Myra you can be worried and distracted about many real and imaginary things or you can choose the better part which is being united with and to Me."

Help me my Beloved, help me Mama Mary to be all that God wants me to be.

Numbers 21:5, 7-9, John 3:6

...we are disgusted with this tasteless manna.

vs 7-9 Moses pleaded for the people and Yaweh said to him, "Make a fiery serpent and set it on a standard; whoever has been bitten and then looks at it shall live." So Moses made a bronze serpent and set it on a standard. Whenever a man was bitten, he looked towards the bronze serpent and he lived.

Beloved, it was God who provided the manna to sustain the people. How shocking to complain so bitterly about a gift and yet I am guilty of the same offence. I am never satisfied. Thank You that whenever I am bitten by the poison of sin, I can look at You who was pierced for me and I can live.

My Beloved, You emptied Yourself completely - You took on our nature and became one like us in order to take on Yourself our sin and punishment so You could save us. Give me a grateful, loving, thankful heart.

John 3:6 Yes, God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whoever believes in Him may not be lost, but may have eternal life. God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world; instead; through Him the world is to be saved."

This verse has been quoted a zillion times and yet we will never fully fathom the length, breadth, height of God's love. Thank You Abba. There is no way of fully comprehending the love of the Father in asking His First Born, His own Beloved Son to take on what I should have suffered.

All that You suffered Beloved in Your passion should have been my punishment and shame. Thank You.

Isaiah 50:5-9, James 2:14-18, Mark 8:27-35

My Beloved, some lessons are very hard to put into practice. You said the servant is not greater than the Master. You also said where I am there my servant will be. To give ourselves in complete self-donation takes true love. All the readings and the Gospel of today speak eloquently about what it means to love as You love.

Love shows itself in action. Love means to forget self. Love means to allow yourself to be put to death - to die to what you feel or want so that the loved one may receive what he or she desires. Love finds joy in saying, 'Yes". True love that is free from selfishness. What a long, long way I have to go before I reach that ideal my God. Pray for me. Take my hand. Teach me. Strengthen my will. Amen.

"You make a million and one excuses to convince yourself you are right and every one of them will be wrong because love does not count the cost. The depth of our love can be measured by the sacrifices we are willing to make."

Colossians 3:12-17

My Beloved, yesterday You asked me to strip off my old self and today You tell me to clothe myself in garments that are fitting for a child of God. I must put on compassion, kindness, humility, meekness and patience and over all I must wear the most beautiful garment of love which brings all together in perfection.

I am also reminded to be thankful. Just to be thankful for all things. This is a timely reminder my Beloved, because I have a spirit that complains of every pin prick. Help me to be grateful and thankful my God.

Psalm 145:2,

Psalm 145:2

Great is the Lord, most worthy of praise; and His deeds are beyond measure.

My Beloved, I could not exhaust all the praise that is due to You in one life-time, in several life-times or in eternity for Your goodness, beauty, power, splendor and majesty are all beyond measure and words. I must begin now - my whole life must be one hymn of praise to You my God.

Colossians 3:5

.....put to death what is earthly in your life.

If I call You my Lord, my Savior and my Redeemer. If I am baptised into Your body, then I must put to death the old ways that led to sin.

verse 9

....You have been stripped of the old self and its ways of thinking to put on the new, which is being renewed and is to reach perfect knowledge and the likeness of its creator.

verse 11

Christ is all and in all.

As You were stripped of Your garments so must I be stripped of my old self and I must put on Christ who is all and in all.

What gift can I make you today? I give you the gift of myself as your loving and obedient daughter. I ask that through your intercession I may keep my gaze fixed on you just as the eyes of the serving girl are on her mistress in order that you may direct my way and will in the way and will of your Son, my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Psalm 62: 6-7, 9

Find rest in God alone, O my soul, from Him comes my hope. He alone is my Rock and my salvation, with Him as my stronghold, I shall not be overcome. Trust in Him at all times my people, pour out your hearts before Him; God is our refuge.

My Beloved, I could not receive better advice than these verses. What do I need when I have You, when I can run to You with every problem, in every distress and trouble. I can trust You. I can hide in You. I can lean on You. You are ready and willing to listen no matter how long I cry and no matter how often.

Colossians 2:2-3

May you be established in love, that you may obtain all the riches of a full understanding and know the mystery of God, Christ Himself. For in Him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Today's Gospel reading in Luke 6:6-11 speaks of the man with the withered hand whom You healed on the sabbath. This infuriated the Pharisees and they began to plot against You. How the Pharisees hated You my Lord. There are many today who hate You with the same vitriolic hatred. They would try to kill You again if they could - in any case they try to kill You by trying to blot You out in various ways.

Apart from all this Lord, my hand is often withered and shortened because I have not used it to reach out in generous service. Heal me my Beloved.

They brought to him a deaf man who had an impediment in his speech; and they begged him to lay his hand on him. He took him aside in private, away from the crowd, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spat and touched his tongue. Then looking up to heaven, he sighed and said to him, ‘Ephphatha’, that is, ‘Be opened.’ And immediately his ears were opened, his tongue was released, and he spoke plainly.

Psalm 146:8
The Lord opens the eyes of the blind.The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down; the Lord loves the righteous.

My Beloved, there is a similar thread that is woven into the readings of today as well as the Psalm. Yes, You are a healer but there is more that the passages speak of. I am like the deaf-mute. Often I cannot hear You or I refuse to hear and when I am deaf I am unable to articulate my faith or live it. I need You, through the Sacrament of Reconciliation, to touch me with outward signs so that my soul wells up with inward grace. You say,"Go, your sins are forgiven - sin no more," and then You bless me as a sign that as You have said, so it is. Continue to stay with me Lord and lead me into all truth. Amen

Colossians 1:22

God has reconciled you in the human body of His Son through His death, so that you may be without fault, holy and blameless before Him.

Whatever You will and wish for me my Beloved, grant me the grace to embrace it gladly. In Your human body which was crucified and mangled, I am reconciled to God through Your passion death and resurrection and more than that You make Your body available to me as food for my soul so as I eat the flesh and drink the blood of the Son of the Most High God I become what I consume.

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; for in him all things in heaven and on earth were created, things visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or powers—all things have been created through him and for him. He himself is before all things, and in him all things hold together. He is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that he might come to have first place in everything. For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him God was pleased to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, by making peace through the blood of his cross.

Reading these verses Beloved is like having a powerful floodlight shining and revealing the purpose of the Father and the love of the Father for His Son. In perfect humility and perfect obedience You aligned Your will to the Father's will and this perfect union resulted in our salvation - the greatest love story of all time - the love of the Father for his Son and for us sinners. Thank you Jesus for bowing down Your head and saying, 'not my will but Thine be done."

Luke 5:8, Colossians 1:10-14

Leave me Lord, for I am a sinful man."

Yet, if You left us Lord what would happen to us. When we work in tandem with You there is fruit - but all our good works apart from You are not worth much if anything.

Colossians 1:10-14

What a beautiful prayer St. Paul makes in the following verses.

May your lifestyle be worthy of the Lord and completely pleasing to Him. May you bear fruit in every good work and grow in the knowledge of God. May you be strengthened with all the strength God is able to give you according to His glorious power, so that you may have great endurance and perseverance in joy. Constantly give thanks to the Father who has empowered us to receive our share in the inheritance of the saints in His kingdom of light. He rescued us from the power of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son. In Him we are redeemed and forgiven.

Beloved, there were 2 things that struck me today.

Psalm 52:11 says:

I am as a green olive tree that thrives in the house of God; I trust in God's unfailing love forever and ever.

and

Luke 4:39

Bending over her, He rebuked the fever, and it left her. Immediately she got up and waited on them.

This is an affirmation of yesterday's thought that You bend over us in our affliction in compassion, pity, love and mercy. and You minister to us. Is it any wonder why I can say what the Psalmist says in the above verse.

I love You, Lord.

My Beloved, how good it is to spend this time with You each morning. I am tempted like Peter to say let us pitch our tent here. But I must come down the mountain and put into practice all that You have taught me. I must be like You and Mary my mother. Just as You have stooped down to help me, so must I stoop in love and compassion to help others.

Job 13:23

What are my faults what are my sins? Make them known to me.

My Beloved, unless I know the areas where I am weak only then can I know what requires correction. Help me through the power of Your Holy Spirit to know my faults, my sins, my weaknesses, to confess them and with the help of Your grace to overcome them.

Matthew 23:27-32

My Beloved, in today's Gospel message it is clear that the truth is always the truth and a lie is always a lie. You are not afraid to tell it like it is . Your love is a true love - not a namby pamby, wishy washy kind of feeling that sometimes passes for love. Thank You for always telling me the truth even when it was hard and thank You for holding me up so I fell softly.

MY BELOVED, JUST WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT YOU MAKE ME HAPPY!!!!!

Psalm 139

My Beloved, once again in the psalm You remind me that Your knowledge of me is complete. You care for me. Yours is a protective love and it makes me feel precious in Your sight. Thank You. I know I need never be anxious. Like a child resting in the arms of a loving mother so may I rest in You always.

John 1:48

My Beloved, You always see me just as You saw Nathanael and knew exactly where he was standing. I find such knowledge that You have of me reassuring. You see me always, Your hands are ready to steady me should I stumble, to lead me if I falter, to pick me up should I fall.

Sirach 6:37

Meditate on the precepts of the Lord and apply yourself unceasingly to His commandments. He will strengthen your heart and the wisdom you desire will be given to you.

My Beloved, I asked You to give me the wisdom of Your little ones and here is Your response. You are always ready to give good things to Your children if we are prepared to do our part. Help me Lord to meditate on Your Word and to follow Your commandment to love You with my whole being and my neighbour as myself always, then You will strengthen my heart and give me my heart's desire. Thank You.

John 10:27-30

'My sheep hear my voice. I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one will snatch them out of my hand. What my Father has given me is greater than all else, and no one can snatch it out of the Father’s hand. The Father and I are one.’

My Beloved, I hear Your voice and it is the sweetest, gentlest, voice I have ever heard - a voice that beckons and speaks of love and invites me into deeper friendship with the Triune God. A voice that sweetly promises to give me all that is necessary to live my life here on earth joyfully trusting in Your divine providence to supply all my needs both spiritually and materially. Thank You for Your wonderful committment to never let me perish and to always renew me and give me all I need through the frequent use of the Sacraments of the Holy Eucharist and Reconciliation. Thank You Jesus.

Your Word is spirit and life. It is manna from heaven. May I receive Your Word, may it find a place in my heart. May its roots spread deep into my innermost being. May I be grounded in Your Holy Word. May it be the rule of my life. May I live it, breathe it, speak it, be nourished by it and may its radiance illumine my entire being beginning with my soul. Then I shall tremble not from fear but from love and awe and wonder that You O gracious God love me.

Ezekiel 39:25-29

My Beloved, dare I believe what You are saying to me in these verses for us as a family as we prepare to move into our new home?

Therefore, thus says the Lord God: Now I will restore the fortunes of Jacob, and have mercy on the whole house of Israel; and I will be jealous for my holy name. They shall forget their shame, and all the treachery they have practised against me, when they live securely in their land with no one to make them afraid, when I have brought them back from the peoples and gathered them from their enemies’ lands, and through them have displayed my holiness in the sight of many nations. Then they shall know that I am the Lord their God because I sent them into exile among the nations, and then gathered them into their own land. I will leave none of them behind; and I will never again hide my face from them, when I pour out my spirit upon the house of Israel, says the Lord God.

What wonderful promises You make and my heart is at peace and rest. I will claim each promise for my family and for the new life we will begin under our own roof. You will reign as our King, our Lord, Our Protector and our Deliverer. Your Holy Spirit will fill each one of us so that our lives may be pleasing to You and our home will be a place of peace and love.

Proverbs 9:5, Ephesians 5:15-20, John 6:51, 53-58

My Beloved, You have so much to say to me in today's Mass readings and Gospel passage. The message is so spectacularly clear. You invite me to the banquet of Your Body and Blood. "Come eat and drink of the bread and wine I have prepared." Why is it so important? The whole purpose of the incarnation was that You would enable me to have all the means necessary to equip me for my life's journey. For you have said, "I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats of this bread will live for ever; and the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh." You are my sustenance when I eat Your flesh and drink Your blood. If I fail to do so then You say very clearly that not only can I not participate in the Divine life - the life of the Trinity and not only will I die - I will be dead eternally. "Very truly, I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood have eternal life, and I will raise them up on the last day;" But if I partake of Your Body and Blood then I have life - life that will sustain and strengthen. The very life of God that enables me to meet every challenge. "for my flesh is true food and my blood is true drink. Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood abide in me, and I in them. Just as the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so whoever eats me will live because of me. This is the bread that came down from heaven, not like that which your ancestors ate, and they died. But the one who eats this bread will live for ever.’ The life that will enable me to live as St. Paul advises in today's reading. Be careful then how you live, not as unwise people but as wise, making the most of the time, because the days are evil. So do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. Do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery; but be filled with the Spirit, as you sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, singing and making melody to the Lord in your hearts, giving thanks to God the Father at all times and for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Without grace and without the Eucharist I would find it impossible to please God. My life would fall flat. Every fear and anxiety would prey on me, depress me and lead me to despair. But because I am loved and God knows how much I need Him, He made provision for me to eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood in order that I may have life in abundance here on earth and life everlasting with Him in Heaven. Praise the Lord!!!!

LUKE 8:45, 46-48

Jesus asked, "Who touched me? Someone touched me for I felt power go out of me." Then she openly confessed why she had touched Him and how she had been instantly cured. And Jesus said to her,"Daughter, your faith has saved you. Go in peace."

My Beloved, You are always aware when I approach to touch You no matter how light the touch whether hesitant or confident You know. You are aware and You are ready to respond to my need. No matter how faltering my faith, even trembling with fear You want me to know that I can identify myself without fear of being rejected by You and You will meet my need over and above my expectations.

Luke 1:28

The angel came to her and said, "Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you.

From the moment of her conception, Mary had angels jostling each other to come close to her. Fairest flower in all creation on whom her spouse the Holy Spirit lavished every grace so that she was adorned more brilliantly that any creature ever born. She is the fairest daugher of the Most High God whose Presence over shadowed her. She was to be the mother of His Son - born of a woman but conceived by the Holy Spirit. No praise, no honor, no expression of love and devotion can doher justice or be sufficient and that is why saints in every age have tried to outdo each other in recognising and praising the merits won for her by the Triune God.

Beloved, today please help me begin my journey with Your help and that of the Your Holy Spirit to enter into a deeper and more loving relationship with Your mama and mine. Thank You.

Man's heart makes plans but it is the Lord who answers. Although people are satisfied with all of their deeds the Lord considers the motives. Entrust all you do to God and your plans will be realised.

Proverbs 16:9

Man's heart seeks the right way but it is the Lord who makes his footsteps sure.

Mark 12:37

......Many people came to Him and listened to Him gladly.

Mark 13:11

When they bring you to trial and hand you over, do not worry beforehand about what you are to say; but say whatever is given you at that time, for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.

My Sweet Jesus, You have said so many things to me today. Grant me the grace to ponder on them the whole day. May Your Holy Word feed me, nourish and strengthen me and may I become the Word that I have read and pondered on; in order that I may live it. Amen.

GALATIANS 4:7

Through faith I am a descendant of Abraham. The promises made by God to him was sealed in the blood of Christ. Through baptism I died in Christ and I rose to newness in life in Him. I am co-heir with Jesus to all that the Father has to give. Freely He has given all to the Son and freely the Son gives His all to me. I am no longer a slave to sin, the flesh, the world and the devil. Rather I am a daughter of the Most High God and I call Him Abba, Dad because in Jesus, I am a child of God and heir to His Kingdom. I walk with my head held high in the freedom of a child of God.
