Mark 9:7

A cloud formed, covering them in a shadow, and from the cloud came this word, "This is my Son, the Beloved; listen to Him."
May the cloud of the Presence of the Lord overshadow me always. May I always listen and obey the Beloved Son of the Father and may His Word be my food and drink, then I shall be truly joyful.

Philippians 2:6-11

Philippians 2:6-11
Though He was in the form of God, He did not regard equality with God as something to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a slave, being born in human likeness. And being found in human form, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death— even death on a cross. Therefore God also highly exalted Him and gave Him the Name that is above every other name, so that at the Name of Jesus every knee should bend, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Jesus, the Son of God, became Man through the perfect acts of obedience and humility, powered by the force of agape love. Jesus, who from all eternity, was covered in the glory of His Father became incarnate.
He not only became man, but a servant. He said, "I came to serve not to be served and to give my life as a ransom for many." He allowed Himself to be humbled and crushed in the winepress of His passion, horrific crucifixion and death on the cross.
The proof of the Father's love for man was that it was His will that His Son, the Beloved, should give up His life and pour out His Blood as a ransom for our sins. The Blood of the Son, God made Man, was the price that was paid for our salvation. Jesus knew what was at stake - the life and salvation of every man, woman and child that was ever born from the beginning of creation until the end of the world - so He poured Himself out as an oblation, so that we might be redeemed.
And now, He is seated in radiant glory and splendor at the right hand of the Father and is given the Name that is more powerful than any other name. A Name when uttered causes the angels and saints to fall down prostrate in adoration, causes us to fall on our knees in wonder and gratitude for all the merits He has won for us in making us children of God. In Jesus, we become the family of God and co-heirs of the Kingdom of Heaven. Those in the underworld tremble with fear and everything that has life in all creation proclaims joyfully that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father forever and ever. AMEN.

1 SAMUEL 17:45, 47

1 SAMUEL 17:45, 47
You have come against me with sword, spear and javelin, but I come against you with God.

The battle belongs to Yahweh.
The world may seem powerful and the people of the world with their riches, influence and power may seem invincible. But I know that I belong to God. I know that Jesus is my Good Shepherd therefore I shall want for nothing. He provides all that I need and He will fight the battle for me and with me. I shall be victorious in Him. He will fight and win my battles whether it is my home, my spouse, my children, my family, my friends, my workplace, my finances - in everything that is important to me and is required for my well being, both spiritual and temporal I will triumph in and with God my Savior and my Redeemer. John 17:6

John 17:6
"I have made Your Name known to those You gave me from the world. They were Yours and You gave them to Me and they kept Your Word."

I was given to You Beloved by the Father Himself, my Abba. I am part of His eternal plan. It is You my Lord who has revealed to me all that the Father is. In belonging to the Father, I also belong to You and the Holy Spirit.
Grant that I may be faithful in cherishing, keeping and living the Word of the Father with the help of the Holy Spirit all the days of my life. Amen

John 6:16-21

John 6:16-21
When evening came, his disciples went down to the shore

The disciples were tired - they were with You from early morning winding up the long day with the feeding of the 5000 and then cleaning up after they left .
Sometimes Lord, I get tired after all the work is done.

After a while they got into a boat to make for Capernaum on the other side of the sea for it was now dark and Jesus was not with them.

Between the time they were on the shore and got into the boat what were they discussing? This verse says that You were not with them my Lord.
I too make many plans, have heated discusions but I do not invite You into these discussions - all is being done without You.

But the sea was getting rough because a strong wind was blowing.

The natural outcome without You is that the sea gets rough, the winds of difficulty and uncertainty start blowing and I get buffeted around unable to find peace.

They had rowed about three or four miles, when they saw Jesus walking on the sea and He was drawing near to the boat. They were frightehed, but He said to them, ‘It is I; do not be afraid.’

I keep floundering without You and all the while Your eye is on me and then You come to me and seeing my fear You calm me with the beautiful words, "It is I, don't be afraid."

They wanted to take him into the boat, and immediately the boat was at the shore to which they were going.

When I let go of my plans and ideas You will take me to the place where I am meant to be. Thank You.

Matthew 17:5-8

Matthew 17:5-8

vs 5
Peter was still speaking when a bright cloud covered them in its shadow, and a voice from the cloud said, "This is My Son, the Beloved, My Chosen One, listen to Him.

Just like Peter I am often so full of myself and yet in Your goodness and kindness You intervene, You cover me in the Shadow of Your Presence and Your remind me that Jesus is Your Beloved, the One You sent in order to redeem and save and I must listen to Him and obey Him.

vs 6
On hearing the voice, the disciples fell to the ground, full of fear.

Often Lord I too am so afraid that I become paralysed with fear wondering what You will ask of me - instead of just trusting You for You are love, mercy, pity and compassion.

vs 7
But Jesus came, touched them and said, "Stand up, do not be afraid."

You never abandon me Lord, not only do You come, but You touch me personally in the Eucharist and every time and all the time You touch me spiritually. You tell me stand up and not be afraid. I must stand up, erect, firm, tall and ready - not curled up in fear or laziness or self-will.

vs 8
When they raised their eyes, they no longer saw anyone except Jesus.

When I raise my eyes and take my gaze away from all other distractions, I will see nothing and no one else but Jesus. Jesus in every person I encounter.

"Remember this Myra, I never abandon my own."

Thank You my Beloved.

Psalm 103:17-20

Psalm 103:17-20
The Lord's kindness is forever with those who fear Him. So is His justice, for their children's children, for those who keep His covenant and remember His commands, for those who put them into practice. The Lord has set His throne in heaven. He rules, He has power everywhere. Praise the Lord, all you His angels, you mighty ones who do His bidding, you who obey His Word.

My Beloved, You assure me of Your kindness forever and not only to me Lord but to my children and their children. Grant us O Lord the grace to live by Your Eternal Word always.

Song of Songs 3:4
I found the love of my heart, I held Him and would not let Him go.

My Beloved, You told Mary Magdalene not to cling to You as You had not yet ascended to the Father. Now that You are with the Father, You make it possible for me not only to cling on to You but I can become one body with You in the Holy Eucharist. Thank You.

Psalm 91 : 9-16

Psalm 91 : 9-16
You have the LORD for your refuge; you have made the Most High your stronghold. No evil shall befall you, no affliction come near your tent. For God commands the angels to guard you in all your ways. With their hands they shall support you, lest you strike your foot against a stone. You shall tread upon the asp and the viper, trample the lion and the dragon. Whoever clings to me I will deliver; whoever knows my name I will set on high. All who call upon me I will answer; I will be with them in distress; I will deliver them and give them honor. With length of days I will satisfy them and show them my saving power.

I count the Son of the Most High God my Friend, my Beloved, my Refuge, my Shelter and my God. If God be for me who can be against me. I have You my Beloved and in having you I have all things - You are my Shepherd there is nothing I shall want.

Psalm 27 : 1

My Lord, You are my light and my salvation whom shall I fear? My Lord, You are the rampart of my life I will not be afraid.

You hold me to Yourself as safely as a mother who wraps her arms around her baby and holds it close to her breast. She would die before she would permit any harm to come to her child and so too my Beloved, You died in order that I might live. Thank You.

Psalm 68 : 20-21

Psalm 68 : 20-21
Blessed be the Lord, God our Saviour, who daily bears our burdens. Ours is a God who saves; our Lord lets us escape from death.

What a perfect description of Jesus. Thank You Beloved, truly You are a God who saves. You bear my burdens. You have let me escape from death to sin and the loss of eternal life.

Thank You Lord for wisdom with which You continue to endow me. Thank You for showing me that true love requires sacrifice and love gladly gives up for the one who is loved. You have showm me the way my Beloved grant that I may walk in it.

Bless my sister Sandy with every grace and blessing in the heavenly places. May she walk in the shelter of Your love all the days of her life. Thank You for sparing her and giving her back to us. Praise You Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Psalm 43 : 2, 3-5

Psalm 43 : 2, 3-5
You are my God, my stronghold. Why have You cast me out? Why should I go about mourning, opressed by the enemy? Send forth Your light and Your Truth, let these be my guide, let them take me to Your holy mountain, to the place where You reside. Then I will go to the altar of God, to God my gladness and delight. I will praise You with the lyre and harp. O God, my God. Why are you downcast my soul, why so troubled within me? Hope in God for again I will praise Him - my Savior and my God.

Psalm 69:14-19

Psalm 69:14-19
At a time most favorable to you, in Your great love, O God, answer me with Your unfailing help deliver me from the storm and the deep waters. Let not the flood engulf me, nor the deep suck me in, let not the pit close its mouth upon me. In Your mercy O Lord give me a good answer, in Your great compassion turn to me. Hide not Your Face from Your servant; answer me at once for I am in distress. Come and rescue me; set me free.

Sirach 39:5-6
Early in the morning his heart is set on turning to the Lord, his Maker, and raising his being to the Most High he opens his mouth in prayer and makes supplications because of his sins. If such is the will of the great Lord, he will be filled with the spirit of discernment. He will then speak words of wisdom and celebrate the Lord in prayer.

Esther 14:4, 12, 14

Esther 14:4, 12, 14
My Lord You who stand alone, come to my help; I am alone and have no help but You. Remember us Lord; reveal Yourself in the time of calamity. Give me courage, King of gods and master of all power. Save us by Your hand, help me who am alone and have none but You O Lord.

My God, when You call, may my response always be, "Here I am Lord." May I always say, "Yes," without hesitation in response to whatever it is You want or ask of me.

Psalm 18:2-4, 7
I love you, LORD, my strength, LORD, my rock, my fortress, my deliverer, My God, my rock of refuge, my shield, my saving horn, my stronghold!
Praised be the LORD, I exclaim! I have been delivered from my enemies. In my distress I called out: LORD! I cried out to my God. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry to him reached his ears.

I believe my Beloved, I hope and I trust in You.

Hosea 2:21-2
You will be my spouse forever, bethrothed in justice and integrity; we will be united in love and tenderness. I will espouse you in faithfulness and you will come to know Yahweh.

Ephesians 1: 3-5, 8, 12-14
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavens, as he chose us in him, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and without blemish before him. In love he destined us for adoption to himself through Jesus Christ, in accord with the favor of his will. In him we have redemption by his blood, the forgiveness of transgressions, in accord with the riches of his grace that he lavished upon us. In him we were also chosen, destined in accord with the purpose of the one who accomplishes all things according to the intention of his will, so that we might exist for the praise of his glory, we who first hoped in Christ. In him you also, who have heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and have believed in him, were sealed with the promised holy Spirit, which is the first installment of our inheritance toward redemption as God's possession, to the praise of his glory.

This awesome God of love, life and power destined from all eternity that He would create me in order that I might know Him in Christ, love Him in Christ, be redeemed by Him in Christ - have knowledge of Him through Christ in the power of the Spirit and enjoy life with Him here on earth and have the fulness of life with Him in heaven. How blessed I am!

Yahweh says this to her: "Weep no more and wipe the tears of your eyes; your sorrow will have redress. They will come back from the enemy's land. There is hope for your descendants; your children will return to their own borders.

"You have disciplined me and I have been disciplined. Bring me back, and I will return for You are my God, my Lord. Is not Ephraim my favored son, the child in whom I delight? Oftern have I threatened him, but I still remember him, my heart yearns for him. I must show him mercy, says Yahweh.

Psalm 3:4-7

Sirach 59:33-35

All the works of the Lord are good and He will satisfy every need in due time. You must must not say, this is less good than that, for in its time everything will serve a purpose. So now, with all your heart and in full voice sing and bless the Name of the Lord.

"Myra, why are you anxious and troubled about things in the past. I am Lord of your past, your present and your future. Trust Me. Trust Me with your loved ones. Do not worry, do not be anxious, or troubled or sad. If you know Me then you will be certain that I will always come through for those who trust Me. You make me small in your perception of Me when you lack trust in Me and My power."

Isaiah 65:1, 17
I let myself be found by those who did not ask for Me; I have been met by those who did not seek Me. I said, "Here I am, here I am," to a nation who did not call on My Name. I now create new heavens and a new earth, and the former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind again.

My Beloved, once again You fill me with hope. I know that You love, even more the people I love and pray for daily. Thank You for assuring me that in the new life I live in You the mistakes of the past have no place.

Psalm 28:1-2, 6-8

To You O Lord, I call; my Rock, be not deaf to me. Hear my cry for mercy as I call to You for help as I lift up my hands towards Your innermost sanctuary. Blessed be the Lord! He has heard my cry for help. The Lord is my strength, my shield, my heart was sure of Him I have been helped and my heart exults, with my song, I give Him thanks. The Lord is the strength of His people, the saving refuge of His anointed.

Beloved, do we all look at the past with regret and wish we had done things differently? You word is clear though about looking back - it makes us immobile and unworthy of working for the Kingdom. Help me Lord!

Judith 16:13-15

A new hymn I will sing to my God. O Lord, great are you and glorious, wonderful in power and unsurpassable. Let your every creature serve you; for you spoke, and they were made, You sent forth your spirit, and they were created; no one can resist your word. The mountains to their bases, and the seas, are shaken; the rocks, like wax, melt before your glance. "But to those who fear you, you are very merciful.

I will sing to my God a new song. Lord, You are great and strong, invincible.

Great and glorious God, I love You, I thank You for Your mercy. Thank You for teaching me that great as Your love is and everlasting Your mercy - You are also a just God and that we are purified by a Father who loves us without end and who is not afraid to make the hard decisions for our good.

Psalm 92:14-16

Planted in the house of the Lord, they will prosper in the courts of our God. In old age they will still bear fruit, they stay fresh and green to proclaim that the Lord is upright. "He is my Rock," they say, "He never fails!"

Beloved Jesus, thank You for bringing me back home safely. Thank You that I am feeling much better today. Watch over my family back home. Heal my mother-in-law from her backache. Grant us all wisdom and the fear of the Lord so we may seek to please You always.

Psalm 63
O God, you are my God-- for you I long! For you my body yearns; for you my soul thirsts, Like a land parched, lifeless, and without water. So I look to you in the sanctuary to see your power and glory. For your love is better than life; my lips offer you worship! I will bless you as long as I live; I will lift up my hands, calling on your name. My soul shall savor the rich banquet of praise, with joyous lips my mouth shall honor you! When I think of you upon my bed, through the night watches I will recall that you indeed are my help, and in the shadow of your wings I shout for joy. My soul clings fast to you; your right hand upholds me.
Beloved, this psalm expresses so beautifully how I long for You. Yes, my God, it is You I seek, my body longs for You and my soul thirsts for You. May I seek to praise and glorify You every moment of my life with every breath. I have come to the end of my holiday. You have been with me through eery difficulty, every doubt and You have enabled me to triumph in the end. Thank You.

My Beloved, if I am passionate about You then I will work passionately for the Kingdom - grant me this passion through Your most Holy Spirit, Amen.

Psalm 116:1-9, 12-14
I love the LORD, who listened to my voice in supplication, who turned an ear to me on the day I called. I was caught by the cords of death; the snares of Sheol had seized me; I felt agony and dread. Then I called on the name of the LORD, "O LORD, save my life!" Gracious is the LORD and just; yes, our God is merciful. The LORD protects the simple; I was helpless, but God saved me. Return, my soul, to your rest; the LORD has been good to you. For my soul has been freed from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling. I shall walk before the LORD in the land of the living.

How can I repay the LORD for all the good done for me? I will raise the cup of salvation and call on the name of the LORD. I will pay my vows to the LORD in the presence of all his people.

My Beloved, thank You for Your graciousness in helping me get a seat for Danny. I thank you for not letting me get entangled in the snares of trouble. Thank You Jesus.

Jesus felt the pain of being humiliated but not the resentment. I had to swallow my own resentment when I faced a little humiliation, in order to imitate Him.

Genesis 21:8
Isaac grew, and on the day of the child's weaning, Abraham held a great feast.

Jesus, You ask me if I have been weaned so that the Father can throw a banquet for me. Help me to grow and mature in You my Lord.

I touched You today when I touched the hand of that poor leper. Thank You.
