Zephaniah 3:14-18

My Beloved, God makes to the most wonderful promises through the mouth of the prophet speaking of how He will dwell among us and become Emmanuel, God with us. The people of the time were given hope in the midst of despair that God had not forgotten the people He had created. Even though they rebelled and sinned against Him, He would not abandon them because of His great love for them. He would send a mighty Savior, You His only Son to reveal His unfathomable, incomprehensible, infinite love for us. Mindful of our weakness He would Himself take the first step to reconcile us to Himself through You and having done away with all barriers He would rejoice over us for we who were lost are found, we who were dead have been restored to life by You. Thank You.

Philippians 4:4-7

My Beloved, St. Paul understood that every promise made in the Old Testament has been fulfilled by You this is why we urges us to be an exultant people, a people who constantly rejoice at God’s great love for us. A God who is full of love and kindness, a God who is always present to us, available to us, closer to us than we are to ourselves. A God who listens to all our prays of petition and so we must make them known to Him for He always answers those who call on Him. In a world that has gone mad You are God’s peace who remains with us and keeps us safe from all manner of evil. No harm will come to us for we belong to You.

Isaiah 12:2-6

God is in our midst and we rejoice. All fear is taken away. He has wiped away our tears. He has filled us with a spirit of courage and boldness. He has renewed our strength and He has given us joy welling up in the depths of our being – joy like a river flows from us for He has saved us and we are glad. Grant us this grace my Beloved that we may never cease to give You praise and thanks offering up to You grateful hearts for all that the Father and the Holy Spirit have accomplished through You. Help us to speak always of how good You are and how great are Your works of love, the mighty signs and wonders You work on our behalf every day. You are God with us. No longer are we separated from You. No longer are we alone for the Son of God makes His home in us. Thank You.
